Australian National Busking Championships
The Next annual Australian National Busking Championships in Stanthorpe will be Saturday 29th February 2020!
We are extremely fortunate to have so many talented musicians come to the annual Australian National Busking Championships in Stanthorpe. Be sure to come along for some fantastic entertainment and if you’re fortunate enough to be blessed with talent be sure to come and perform.

BUSKERS
- Anyone can be a busker - beginners to professionals
- Prizes now total over $6000.
- There are many different categories you can compete in.
- Buskers who participated last year are welcome to come again
- Singers, groups, musicians and instrumentalists of any genre and non-musical street entertainers welcome
- All cash tips buskers make on the day are theirs to keep
- You can perform as many 1/2 hour sets as you like (pending number of buskers and stations). Most buskers perform 2-4 sessions.
- Sell your CDs and merchandise
- Winners of the Secondary and Open categories will automatically qualify to compete in the Grand Final in Cooma NSW
- Register by.... DATE TBA ($20 entry fee for individuals, $40 for duos and $50 for groups of 3 or more)
SPECTATORS
- Buskers will play throughout the day in Stanthorpe’s main street (from 9 am - 2:00 pm), for half-hour sessions
- Finalists perform in Weeroona Park at a free concert from 3 pm (food & drink available)
- Spectators can purchase "Busker Dollars" for $1 each & give them to the Buskers they like the most. Each Busker Dollar you purchase enters you into a multi-draw raffle, to be drawn at the concert. The busker with the most Busker Dollars wins the People's Choice Award.
Primary Section (for primary school age students)
- $300 - Winner
- $125 - Second Place
- $75 - Third Place
Senior Section (for high school age students)
- $500 - Winner
- $200 - Second Place
- $100 - Third Place
Open (Adult) Section
- $1,000 - Open Champion
- $300 - Second Place
- $200 - Third Place
Best Band Award (for bands/groups of 3 or more)
- $500 – Winner
People’s Choice Award
- $700 - Winner
- $200 - Second Place
- $100 - Third Place
